Cat Hudson – Chime In Youth Ambassador, United Kingdom

Twenty-two year old Cat Hudson has been defending youth leadership and peace since she was 14. Throughout her tenure as a youth activist, Cat has striven to challenge youth stereotypes and ensure that the youth voice be heard. She is one of the youngest UK youth to have spoken at the United Nations on the need for long-term, ambitious action on climate change, and she continues to engage and attend UN conferences with international youth from around the world. Along with other engaged youth, Cat has been a reviewer for a UN report on climate change.

Cat has volunteered, led projects, facilitated events and organized campaigns for numerous organizations, including Live Unltd, Unltd, Plan International, Citizenship Foundation, UKYCC and the EU. She is currently the elected Students’ With Faith representative at her University and campaigns on LGBT rights within the faith arena.

At 20, Cat secured a year long placement at the pharmaceutical giant Glaxo-Smith-Kline (GSK). Following a pitch to a sponsor to pursue sustainability in the company’s external R&D supply, she led the global R&D sustainability team and secured a strategy for reducing carbon, waste and water.

“I am being the change I want to see in the world.”
